T-Mobile and Dell officially announced the Dell Streak 7 yesterday at CES. The Streak 7 is a 7" tablet that features a very fast, dual core Tegra 2 processor, 16GB of storage, front facing camera, and T-Mobile's 4G network. It is powered by Android 2.2, Froyo, which is odd, and somewhat disappointing now that Honeycomb tablets have been announced. It is also running Dell's custom skin called Stage, and Dell has refused to comment on whether it will be upgraded to Honeycomb or not.
The device is the first tablet to take advantage of T-Mobile's 4G network and is expected to go on sale "in the coming weeks" for an unspecified price. And, just like the other tablet announcements, it looks like this one will be a contract-only device with no sign of a WiFi only or contract-free version in sight.

This is definitely a nice looking device, and the specs promise that it will be extremely fast, but I certainly won't be buying one, especially not with a 2-year contract. Dell has an extremely poor track record of updating products, and this tablet is launching with outdated software from the getgo. Sure, it will likely be hackable, and will be an awesome product with some XDA support, but at launch, I have to say that I'm unimpressed.
Froyo? Seriously? Not even Gingerbread? Why would you buy this when there are dozens of other tablets being announced right now that are running TWO versions higher than this? Not to mention being stuck with it for two years on contract. No thank you.
